DESCRIPTION:To mark the 80th Anniversary of the Victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War\, a special set of commemorative stamps was officially issued yesterday. \nThe release was jointly recommended and organised by several respected cultural institutions\, including the China International Cultural and Art Development Exchange Center\, the European Philatelic Association\, and the Shanshui Danqing International Art Center. \nIn recognition of her outstanding artistic achievements and contribution to cross-cultural understanding\, Professor Cheng Yu was awarded the title of “International Peace Artist” by the United Nations World Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Foundation. \nThe publication and European release of this commemorative stamp series not only celebrate the accomplishments of a distinguished Chinese artist but also pay tribute to China’s rich cultural heritage and the enduring spirit of peace and remembrance.
