Silk & Bamboo & Kunqu Opera Concert- Prof Cheng and UK Chinese Music Ensemble in Luxembourg

Invited by the University of Luxembourg and the “Ni Hao” Confucius Institute, the UK Chinese Music Ensemble will bring the timeless beauty of Silk and Bamboo music and Kunqu opera to the stage of Trifolion Echternach Concert Hall, Luxembourg. Performed by a six-member ensemble, this special concert offers audiences an enchanting evening of Chinese traditional music and cultural heritage. Event Details About the Concert On the invitation of the University of Luxembourg and the “Ni Hao” Confucius Institute, the UK Chinese Music Ensemble will perform at the prestigious Trifolion Echternach Concert Hall. The programme will feature Silk and Bamboo music (丝竹乐) — the elegant chamber music of southern China — alongside excerpts from Kunqu opera (昆曲), one of the oldest forms of Chinese theatre and listed by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. This concert is part of the ensemble’s mission to bring the richness and diversity of Chinese music to international audiences through concerts, education, and cross-cultural exchange.A celebration of music, heritage, and cross-cultural connection.
